Job Description
 
Reporting to the Vice-President, Global Compensation, you shall actively take part in any potential acquisition's due diligence process (for all that pertains to global compensation) by assessing the conditions already in effect, and by determining the potential risks and financial impacts associated with the conditions that would have to be integrated. You shall also oversee the integration of HR computer systems. You shall work closely with the other members of the global compensation team, and with any other departments involved in the acquisition process. More specifically, the Project Manager - Global Compensation:
  • Obtains details of existing work conditions and employee benefits so s/he can recommend the terms and conditions that will have to be implemented for integration purposes, including the financial impact these will have. Drafts an action plan for rolling out these changes;
  • Keeps the members of the team apprised of the decisions taken respecting the conditions to be integrated and of the action plan's timeframe, and also ensures the rollout process is running smoothly;
  • During the integration process, assesses salaried positions in order to slot them within the Agropur structure;
  • Looks after the ongoing development of the HR system. Helps devise and introduce new features as the need arises, and assists with any integrated human resource management project. Manages integration projects. Is actively involved in the supplier selection process;
  • Supervises the HR system coordinator and performs management related duties;
  • Coordinates global mobility cases (preparing records for work permit purposes, implementing payrolls, determining taxable benefits, coordinating mobility cases with the appropriate outside consultant);
  • Recommends departmental improvements and takes part in any ad hoc projects.
Requirements

 

  • Bachelor of Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations or other related field;
  • 6 to 8 years experience as a compensation professional, including managing merger and acquisition projects;
  • Sound knowledge of pension plans and group insurances;
  • HR computer system and/or project management experience;
  • Excellent command of spoken and written French and English essential;
  • Knowledge of Office Suite applications, advanced Excel user;
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize;
  • Good planning and organizational skills;
  • Rigour, discretion.
